29.4 – 4.5 2024 at Uogashi Meicha Chanomi-club, Tokyo

All art is a reconstruction of nature. When I improvise with music, I am natullary led to paint structures from micro to macro – from a cell to the universe. Paintings of Multidimensioanl Spiecimen series have no fixed horizontal or vertical orientation, and the audience is free to determine this for themselves as they view the paintings.

This is an exhibition of works created through two musical improvisation collaborations, which have been ongoing since last year. This year, half conciously, I removed the figurative elements and concentrated on abstract expression, because I thought it would be more pure way to visualise the music. As a result, I became quite proficient with abstract expressions with colour inks, and the following year I was able to start working on my original stories, which had been problematic for me for many years.

昨年から続けている、二つの音楽即興コラボで生まれた作品の展示です。この年は半ば意識的に具象要素を抜き、抽象表現に専念していました。その方がより純粋に音楽の視覚化が行えるのではないかと考えたからです。結果として、私はカラーインクでの抽象表現にかなり習熟でき、翌年から長年作画に問題のあった、創作物語の制作に取り掛かることができました。
